Amazon Recruitment 2023 Eligibility for Data Scientist Intern
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize data analysis and statistical techniques to enhance customer experience and drive informed business decision-making.
- Identify predictors and root causes of business-related challenges, implementing innovative forecasting and prediction methods.
- Develop, manage, and execute analyses to uncover growth opportunities and present actionable business recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to lead quantitative analysis efforts, ensuring the highest standards of analytical rigor and data integrity.
- Analyze and resolve business problems at their source.
Internship Details:
- Amazon internships require a full-time commitment. Interns should not have any conflicts, including academic projects, classes, or other internships/employment during their internship period.
- Any exam-related obligations should be communicated to the hiring manager to plan for absences.
- Specific working hours and team norms will be communicated by the hiring/reporting manager at the start of the internship.
- Interns receiving confirmation must submit a declaration of their availability to complete the entire internship duration, duly signed by a competent authority at their university.
Basic Qualifications:
- Proven track record of delivering large analytical solutions with a business impact.
- Experience with R, SAS, Matlab, and SQL.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for working with big data.
- Excellent communication and data presentation abilities.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s or equivalent advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline. Hands-on experience and project-based learning in relevant fields is preferred.
- Academic experience in data manipulation, model selection, training, cross-validation, and deployment at scale.
- Academic or project experience with machine and deep learning toolkits such as MXNet, TensorFlow, Caffe, and PyTorch.
- Familiarity with Big Data platforms like Apache Spark and Hadoop.
- Proficiency in data processing with Python, R, and SQL.
- Familiarity with AWS services related to AI/ML, especially Amazon EMR, AWS Lambda, SageMaker, Machine Learning, IoT, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon S3, Amazon EC2 Container Service, and Green Grass.
